Crossing the Line by Kele Moon

Crossing the Line (Battered Hearts, #3)Crossing the Line (Battered Hearts Book #3)
by: Kele Moon

My rating:  5 out of 5 Sizzling Stars

Wyatt Conner is a hard man. A sixth generation sheriff in his hometown of Garnet. A former MMA fighter. His life is about following the rules and making sure everyone else in Garnet follows them too.  Before life hurt him, Wyatt was different. Love had once blinded him to his upbringing and made him defiant against anyone who tried to separate him from the girl he loved. He easily broke laws to ensure her safety.

When she left it destroyed him. Now she's back.

Tabitha knew coming home was a mistake, but family obligation demanded it. She wasn’t expecting to run smack into the love of her life the same day she returned.  Despite the danger, Tabitha is powerless against the wild rush of desire that explodes between them the moment she finds herself in Wyatt’s arms again. She needs a second chance too, but she can't risk Wyatt finally discovering the real reason she left.

Even for another taste of true love.

Tabitha knows her haunted past will destroy both of them if Wyatt finds out. What she suffered through was too terrible and it's the one thing that will have him crossing the line for revenge.

I really enjoyed this book so much - it wasn't the story I expected, and I'm so glad it wasn't.  This story takes you back to when Clay and Tabitha were kids and tells about their time growing up and how their friendship helped them deal with their family issues at home.  It also lets you in on how the relationship starts with Tabitha and Wyatt - and how even at a young age, Wyatt had such a tender heart.  You really get to experience growing up with them - including all the good and bad times throughout the years.

It really is a touching - yet heart wrenching story at times about a girl trying to be strong and do the right thing - sacrificing everything she's always wanted for a family who doesn't deserve her love - but through it all she finds her one true love, she just has to learn to put herself first.  Love this series - looking forward to the next one!

Naughty in Norway by Christine Edwards

Naughty in NorwayNaughty in Norway
by: Christine Edwards

My rating: 4 out of 5 Sizzling Stars

Synopsis:
Vail Fillion has left her home in Huntington Beach, California, to study Scandinavian Culture in Oslo, Norway. But she gets her first real taste of culture shock when she goes along with her friend Lisetta to a wild party at her cousin’s biker bar. Vail is surprised to find such a large group of motorcycle enthusiasts in this often snow-bound country. She is even more stunned to discover that the bikers are normal guys, if perhaps even more physically imposing than your average Viking. Alreck Falstad—a 6’6” blond, tattooed stand-in for a Norse god—catches her eye but also scares her to death. Just as Vail is starting to enjoy herself at the party, something truly frightening occurs. The evening is abruptly cut short by a brutal crime, and she is the lone witness. Before she can make it to the cops, Vail is drugged, loaded into Alreck’s truck, and transported to his remote cabin in the Lofoten Islands. Why has Alreck kidnapped her, and what are his plans with her in his snowy haven? Is he her savior, her nemesis, or both? Even if she could escape, would she truly want to?

I wasn't sure what to expect with this book - it's by a newer author, and I wasn't loving the title - but I thought I'd give it a shot.  The book was done totally in Vail's POV - which helped with keeping you intrigued and curious about Alreck.  The image in your mind alone of Alreck had me all hot and bothered, but how he handled Vail was what clinched his status to another perfect book boyfriend.  Vail didn't make it easy for him, even if she was secretly lusting after him.  She gave him a run for his money as she kept trying to find a way home.

I loved the quick pace of the book and how the story flowed, keeping me interested the whole way through.  If you love sexy Alpha males who are bad boys and belong to an MC then I think that you'll enjoy this book.  It may have you booking a trip to Norway in the near future!

For the Love of a Cowboy by Sandy Sullivan

For the Love of a CowboyFor the Love of a Cowboy (Cowboy Dreamin Book #3)
by: Sandy Sullivan

My rating: 4 out of 5 Sizzling Stars

4 blog stars

Synopsis:
Paige Tyler didn’t want to be the preacher’s daughter anymore. She wanted the freedom to live her own life, do what she wanted and find the man of her dreams. What she didn’t expect to find was that man drunk off his ass and needing her assistance to handle three guys wanting to beat him up in a bar fight.

Jacob Young’s life was a mess. Finding solace in a bottle of booze was the answer to his guilt-ridden conscious until an angel in leather pulls him up by his boot straps, brushes him off and convinces him life is worth living.

Do opposites really attract? Can a cowboy with a wounded heart be the answer to her prayers? It’s all in For the Love of a Cowboy.

My Review:
This is the third book in the Cowboy Dreamin series about the Young family and their nine, yes nine sexy cowboy sons - and let me tell you I can't wait until the rest of the books come out to find out how the rest of the single brothers find their ladies.  The family all works together and lives on the grounds of their parents cattle and dude ranch.  They all love their momma and are respectful and courteous to the guests - but when they get alone with a woman they want - look out for some dirty talk, a little spanking and maybe even some tying up.

This book is about Jacob, who has been drinking himself into a stupor for awhile after being hurt by the actions of his ex.  Unexpectedly he meets Paige at the Dusty Boot and she saves him from getting his butt kicked by three guys.  Paige is a preacher's daughter who's been sneaking out on weekends going to bars and dancing - although her father thinks she's helping at the nursing home.  Paige is 27 and has been helping her father since her mom died when she was 12 - filling the positions her mom filled at the church and helping take care of her dad, instead of living her own life.  Jacob and Paige hook up and the sparks fly - but Paige is torn between doing what she wants and not letting her father down.  They both have to learn to let go of some of the past and not take all the blame on things they have no control over.

This is a great hot cowboy romance series - and I look forward to getting to know more about the family and all the sexy brothers - a definite must read for cowboy lovers.

Repair Me by Jennifer Foor

Repair Me (Kin, #1)Repair Me
by: Jennifer Foor

My rating: 4 out of 5 Sizzling Stars

Synopsis:
Sky's whole world is turned upside down when she catches her long-time boyfriend cheating. Depressed over the breakup, she decides to drive to the beach to spend time with her friends and drown her sorrows in hot guys and fruity drinks. The only problem with her plan is her piece-of-junk car. It breaks down halfway into her trip, in the middle of nowhere—a place where cell phone towers don't even exist.

Ford's life has changed drastically in the past year, and he spends his days working at his family's run-down auto repair shop. When his father tells him to go rescue a stranded traveler, he soon finds himself with a hot opportunity to forget about what ruined his life, even if it's only for one night.

With sexy chemistry between them, Sky and Ford agree to a one-night stand, to let go of what each of them are running from and enjoy each other with no strings attached. But as their heated night progresses, they both know that one night is never going to be enough. What happens when one night turns into two? And two turns into three? Can two people, who know nothing about each other, really fall in love?

Or is lust just playing with their torn hearts?

My Review:
Sky and Ford’s life was not turning out the way they had both envisioned it.  Now, Sky is headed on a trip to the beach to join some friends to help her forget her cheating ex.  They meet up when he comes to help her when her car breaks down – and sparks fly.  Ford is the sexy, cocky bad boy and she’s wary of his type – Sky is beautiful and sassy and Ford is trying to get rid of his annoying ex – and she’s just the person to help him with that.  But the one night stand doesn’t quite turn out the way they both expected it too, and Ford ends up helping her with more than fixing her car – and Sky falls fast.

This is a hot, sexy y/a read about two people, who run into each other while trying to figure out which direction their life should go – while not letting the others in their life down.  If you love y/a stories, you definitely don’t want to miss out on this one!

Unlikely Hero by Kemmie Michaels

Unlikely Hero (Atlanta Series, #1)Unlikely Hero (Atlanta Series Book #1)
by: Kemmie Michaels

My rating: 4 out of 5 Sizzling Stars

4 blog stars

Synopsis:
Erin never would have expected to fall in love. Never. Not with her past, and not with her fear. She never dated; she didn't even allow herself friendships. She didn't trust her judge-of-character skills enough to allow anyone close...until Marcus.

With him, a deep connection happened in spite of the walls she'd so carefully constructed around herself. His self-confessed rage fueled much of his life, with the exception of her. For Erin, Marcus dares to make the step toward love…one with the potential to heal them both.

Trust is an issue Erin has struggled with for over five years - and Marcus has struggled and dealt with his rage for most of his life.  He's healed by using MMA fighting as an outlet - Erin has found journaling as hers.  I absolutely loved the way Erin and Marcus met in this story. It was an amazing way to start a relationship - starting with a little "hope" they find each other, which turns into them giving each other the "strength" they need to face life and actually live it - and then becoming an undeniable "love".

photo thCAR8AFTS_zpsa55a2fec.jpgThis was a beautiful love story about how two very different people meet in a most unusual way - starting as frienship, helping to heal each others past hurts together, making each one stronger and happier in the end - and finding love along the way. You will definitely want to take this journey with Erin and Marcus and experience it with them.

Broken Fences by Kelly Gendron

Broken Fences (TroubleMaker, #1)Broken Fences by Kelly Gendron

**ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review by the girls and I at www.sizzlingpages.com **

What would you do if the one person who had your heart, left the day after you gave your virginity to him - then showed up six years later all cocky and sure of himself, wanting to start things up again?

Dusty wants to ignore the feelings she has when she sees Colden show up in her bar, but the feelings she had six years ago come rushing back in full force. She needs to know why he left, why he's back and is he going to stay or leave again this time. Dusty is a tough girl, she really tries to fight him, but he's a charmer, smooth - and when he talks all bossy/alpha to her - oh man, you cannot blame her for giving in. He is just hot and oh man, he knows just what to say! I really enjoyed this story, it kept me interested and I read it in one sitting - I definitely look forward to the next book in this series.

Madeleine Abducted (The Estate, #1)Madeleine Abducted by M.S. Willis

My rating: 5 out of 5 Sizzling Stars

**Kindly received an arc from author for an honest review**

I was worried about reading this book - knowing it's a "dark read" - and this book is definitely not for the faint of heart - but I loved this book and so glad I took the time to read it.

Aaron's twisted/sick father takes Maddie, an introverted musician, from her quiet life and gives her as a "gift" to Aaron for his birthday. Aaron struggles with what he must do in order to keep Maddie alive and safe within the Estate. This story really made me struggle with actually liking Aaron as you see the dangerous, violent side of him (known as the Executioner), yet tending and caring for Maddie, struggling to keep her out of harm.

Maddie might have appeared weak and timid on the outside, but inside she was strong and resilient, knowing what she must do to survive. Her strength truly gets her through in the end.

I really enjoyed this book, and I look forward to the next book and finding out more about Xander and his background.

My rating: 5 out of 5 Sizzling Stars

5 blog stars

Another nomination for book boyfriend of the year!! Asher totally fits the part - Alpha, Sexy, Bossy, Sweet, Tattooed, Family Guy, the list could go on and on. November knows how to handle him too, she's got the best personality and sense of humor - you just can't help but love the two of them (oh, and don't forget beast) together. It's not just a love story between the two of them, but two families coming together as their relationship grows. I look forward to the next in the series - there are a few more hot brothers that need to find "the one".

My rating:  5 out of 5 Sizzling Stars

I love this series, and the books keep getting better with each one. I think this book may be my favorite so far. Caleb and Bryn have been fighting their attraction to each other the past two books, but this book lets us see them finally giving in to the strong attraction between them. Caleb is helping to protect Bryn and her two 6yr old twin daughters - and you just can't help yourself from falling in love with the hot alpha Caleb, and how sweet and loving he is to Bryn's daughters. They have him wrapped around their fingers - it's so adorable! Caleb just needs to realize he deserves the happiness Bryn and the girls can give him. The Montgomery family and all their friends still show up in force in the book, adding lots of light moments - and moments that make you wish they were part of your family.
