Finding Parker by Scott Hildreth - @ScottDHildreth

Finding Parker
As I sit here, trying to write this review, I find myself speechless, or I should say wordless.  I feel like whatever I decide to write about Finding Parker won't be good enough.  I won't be able to express how much I truly loved this book, and how incredible I thought it was.

It's true, this book isn't an erotic romance.  It's true, that this book isn't probably what you would expect Scott Hildreth to write either.  It's also true, you'll probably highlight a lot of passages as you read - and you'll probably think about your own life as you read this book.

It's a love story.  Simple and complex as that.  But it's not just a love story between a man and a woman - it's about finding love with other people you meet in your life.  It's about family - and not the "traditional" family you are likely thinking about.  It's not about the number of people you know, it's the quality of the relationships you have with the ones closest to you.  It's about living life the right way and to the fullest.

You will fall in love with all of them - Parker, Victoria, Downes and especially, Kenton.  They're all just real, good people - who will make you smile, make you think, and touch your heart.  So glad I "Found Parker".

All I Want for Christmas (Christmas in New York #2) by Jennifer Gracen

All I Want for Christmas (Christmas in New York, #2)
After a night out enjoying the tree lighting ceremony in NYC - Cassandra and her girlfriend decide to stop in a bar for a drink.  Never, ever did she imagine when she walked into the bar that she would be ordering a drink from the man who broke her heart over seven years ago.

Sean was just as shocked to see Cassie in his bar.  After their breakup, he never thought he'd run in to her again - it is a big city after all.  But seeing her again, stirs everything up, and he needs to talk to her, he wants to make things right, he wants to try again - he just has to finally really explain his reasons for breaking things off all those years ago.

Cassie is not sure about what she is feeling when she sees Sean again.  There's so much racing through her head - lots of good memories, and then the hurt and pain he caused her when he suddenly broke her heart and ended their relationship.  She's torn between listening to her head or her heart.

If you love a sexy, sweet talking Irish man, then you are going to love Sean.  I really could not get enough of him.  I really rooted for him the whole time he was trying to convince Cassie to give him another shot.  Cassie did not make it easy for him, he totally had "to work for it".  I totally saw where Cassie was coming from though, and understood her hesitation and fear.  I just wanted for her to give Sean a break so bad.  Luckily for me - it's Christmas.

Karter by Scott Hildreth - @ScottDHildreth

Karter
I have to admit, I was a little nervous going into this book.  But let me say, there was absolutely NO reason for my nervousness - this book had me devouring it in no time at all.

I adored Karter.  She was awesome.  I loved her spunk.  She told things exactly like they were, she was nothing but always honest - and put everything out there.  There was so much more to her, than what you saw.  She left me wishing I could be more like her.

Jak wasn't so bad himself either.  A sexy, retired Navy Seal, trying to get his life in order.  He meets Karter along the side of the road and helps her with her broken down motorcycle.  That's it - after these two meet, nothing is the same for them.  They've both altered each other's life path, and luckily they know it.  It's amazing how life sometimes happen, and the coincidences of meeting certain people - and how our lives are really are all tangled together.

I really did love how Jak and Karter were with each other.  Their playfulness together had me grinning, and I had to laugh out loud when Karter accused Jak of "short stroking" her.  Even with their age difference, and some other issues - their relationship was true, and you will definitely get the HEA as promised from the synopsis.  Don't be nervous about this book like I was, dive right in and enjoy!

Justified (Alfha Law Firm #1) by Aurora Rose Reynolds - @auroraroseR

Justified (Alfha Law Firm, #1)

Wow!  If you're looking for a short, smoking hot read with a story line that will totally keep you interested and wrapped up - then this book is definitely for you.  To me, this book was totally different than Aurora's other books, but the quality of the writing was still there - as was the sexy, bossy man that totally loves his woman, and takes care of her.  If you're a fan of Ms. Reynolds - quick grab this up for a cold winter's night - it will definitely make you get you all hot and bothered!

Ready or Not (Ready #4) by J.L. Berg - @authorjlberg

Ready or Not (Ready, #4)
I have a lot of book boyfriends - I'll admit it - but let me tell you, I'm throwing them all to the side - because Jackson Reid is my perfect man.  I dare you to disagree with me, and try to find a flaw with him, because you won't.

Jackson, a single father to Noah, moves in next door to Liv.  From the very first day he moves in is where the adventure of their relationship starts.  With a little bit of a rocky start as neighbors - these two become fast friends and then something way more.

I enjoyed watching Liv and Jackson's relationship grow.  It felt real and authentic, and grew at a pace that was actually believable.  I definitely laughed at some of their antics towards each other, but it all was in good fun which only brought them closer.  They were definitely perfectly made for each other.

Jackson was just so awesome, with his sense of humor, his love for his son, his caring gentle ways with Liv - I could gush about him for hours.  He just knew when to give Liv her space, and when to be right at her back protecting and taking care of her.  Oh, and he was the perfect amount of bossy when it mattered too!
Liv has been estranged from her family the past eight years.  She wasn't living up to the standards her mom and dad had hoped for.  So Liv broke the ties, and was living her life, and doing what her heart wanted, and succeeding very well.  The one area where she kept closed off though, was with men, she just never let a man in to her heart, and had no plans on it.  But, her new neighbor and his son quickly changed that.  Liv didn't only get Jackson in this relationship, she also got Noah, a wonderful, caring boy, who will steal your heart - who she nurtured and loved just like he was her own son.
I absolutely adore this series and J.L. Berg's writing style.  She never disappoints, and her books always leaves me feeling good and happily satisfied when I finish them.  If you need a beautiful love story series, with little angst, but lots of steam and great characters, than this series is definitely for you.

This Christmas (Christmas in New York #1) by Jeannie Moon

This Christmas
Finding love for the first time, and then having your heart broken at such a young age, is difficult for anyone.  But add being pregnant on to that, Sabrina was left to handle things the best way she saw fit.  And that was by not telling Jake he was a father.

Unexpectedly though, ten years later, Jake shows up in her life again - and now Sabrina has some explaining to do.  Not only to Jake, but to her daughter, who wasn't aware of who her father was.

This was a sweet, second chance love story between two people, who find the feelings they once had all those years ago, are still there and can't be denied.  But, forgiveness must come first.  It's also the story of a father and daughter meeting and getting to know each other, and love each other so easily.  How Jake interacts with Charlie will totally melt you heart.

Sometimes Christmas wishes do come true!

Perfect Chaos (Unyielding #1) by Nashoda Rose - @nashodarose

Perfect Chaos (Unyielding, #1)
I have been anticipating Georgie & Deck's story for months.  Wondering what their history is.  Why they acted the way they did to each other.  Finally, finally I get their story - and it was in no way what I anticipated at all.  To say it was way better than I expected, and surpassed all my expectations is an understatement.

Right from the first page, this book grabbed me and wouldn't let me go.  Georgie, ugh - I had no clue and never imagined what her life had been like the past ten years.  Her trials and journey really began at age 16 when her and her family were notified that her brother was killed in the line of duty.

Deck - I can't find the right words to describe the loyalty he showed to his friends and mostly Georgie.  He struggled so hard with his feelings for Georgie and how to handle and deal with her as gently as he could.  You could feel the deep love he held for her, and when he finally let go to those feelings... it was spectacular.

I can't give you too much of the story line.  You need to be amazed with all the questions and their answers.  The past that's revealed by both Georgie and Deck.  You to need to find the answers along the way as you read.  You need to be grabbed and pulled in to this story like I was - because trust me, you will not be disappointed - you will be only be like me, wishing that Kai's story would come out very soon!
