Ready or Not (Ready #4) by J.L. Berg - @authorjlberg

I have a lot of book boyfriends - I'll admit it - but let me tell you, I'm throwing them all to the side - because Jackson Reid is my perfect man.  I dare you to disagree with me, and try to find a flaw with him, because you won't.

Jackson, a single father to Noah, moves in next door to Liv.  From the very first day he moves in is where the adventure of their relationship starts.  With a little bit of a rocky start as neighbors - these two become fast friends and then something way more.

I enjoyed watching Liv and Jackson's relationship grow.  It felt real and authentic, and grew at a pace that was actually believable.  I definitely laughed at some of their antics towards each other, but it all was in good fun which only brought them closer.  They were definitely perfectly made for each other.

Jackson was just so awesome, with his sense of humor, his love for his son, his caring gentle ways with Liv - I could gush about him for hours.  He just knew when to give Liv her space, and when to be right at her back protecting and taking care of her.  Oh, and he was the perfect amount of bossy when it mattered too! 

Liv has been estranged from her family the past eight years.  She wasn't living up to the standards her mom and dad had hoped for.  So Liv broke the ties, and was living her life, and doing what her heart wanted, and succeeding very well.  The one area where she kept closed off though, was with men, she just never let a man in to her heart, and had no plans on it.  But, her new neighbor and his son quickly changed that.  Liv didn't only get Jackson in this relationship, she also got Noah, a wonderful, caring boy, who will steal your heart - who she nurtured and loved just like he was her own son.

 I absolutely adore this series and J.L. Berg's writing style.  She never disappoints, and her books always leaves me feeling good and happily satisfied when I finish them.  If you need a beautiful love story series, with little angst, but lots of steam and great characters, than this series is definitely for you.

This Christmas (Christmas in New York #1) by Jeannie Moon

Finding love for the first time, and then having your heart broken at such a young age, is difficult for anyone.  But add being pregnant on to that, Sabrina was left to handle things the best way she saw fit.  And that was by not telling Jake he was a father.

Unexpectedly though, ten years later, Jake shows up in her life again - and now Sabrina has some explaining to do.  Not only to Jake, but to her daughter, who wasn't aware of who her father was.

This was a sweet, second chance love story between two people, who find the feelings they once had all those years ago, are still there and can't be denied.  But, forgiveness must come first.  It's also the story of a father and daughter meeting and getting to know each other, and love each other so easily.  How Jake interacts with Charlie will totally melt you heart.

Perfect Chaos (Unyielding #1) by Nashoda Rose - @nashodarose

I have been anticipating Georgie & Deck's story for months.  Wondering what their history is.  Why they acted the way they did to each other.  Finally, finally I get their story - and it was in no way what I anticipated at all.  To say it was way better than I expected, and surpassed all my expectations is an understatement.

Right from the first page, this book grabbed me and wouldn't let me go.  Georgie, ugh - I had no clue and never imagined what her life had been like the past ten years.  Her trials and journey really began at age 16 when her and her family were notified that her brother was killed in the line of duty.

Deck - I can't find the right words to describe the loyalty he showed to his friends and mostly Georgie.  He struggled so hard with his feelings for Georgie and how to handle and deal with her as gently as he could.  You could feel the deep love he held for her, and when he finally let go to those feelings... it was spectacular.

I can't give you too much of the story line.  You need to be amazed with all the questions and their answers.  The past that's revealed by both Georgie and Deck.  You to need to find the answers along the way as you read.  You need to be grabbed and pulled in to this story like I was - because trust me, you will not be disappointed - you will be only be like me, wishing that Kai's story would come out very soon!

A Reason to Kill (Reason #2) by C.P. Smith - @CPSmith63

Perfection!! - C.P. Smith gets everything right in this book, and then some.  Besides the story line that had me smiling and intrigued - you couldn't ask for better characters in a book.  All of the people, not just Max & Mia - you just wanted to be around everyone and get to know them all.

Max was Alpha perfection.  He had the perfect amount of bossiness.  He knew the moment he saw Mia she was going to be "a pain in his ass" - but in the good way of course.  The way Max took care of her, and treated Mia made me swoon.  But, I think I loved Max most for the relationship that he had with his mother.  Their conversations together kept a smile on my face and warmth in my heart for the love they shared as mother and son.

Mia, where to begin with her?  She was one of a kind.  You couldn't help but love all her antics, she was funny, sweet, caring and you just wanted to have a drink with her, sing some karaoke and just basically hang out with her.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first book, A Reason to Breathe, in this series, and wondered how C.P. Smith could top that story, but she did.  You can not go wrong at all with this book - I absolutely ADORED this story - and will probably reread in the near future.  C.P. Smith, please write the next book fast!  Now, off to pack because I'm  moving to Alaska.

Hard to Come By (Hard Ink #3) by Laura Kaye - @laurakayeauthor

If you love a fast paced romantic suspense, with lots of action - in more ways than one, then you definitely need to be reading this series.  You can't help but fall in love with all these 'damaged' ex-military men, who are trying to clear their names, and help others out along the way.

I fell for Derek right away.  Besides be a great dirty talker,  he had such a great personality and tried to keep things light.  Even with everything he faced in his past and the things coming at him now, he always seemed to stay positive.  He deserved to find his happiness - and Emilie was perfect for him.  I couldn't help but hope for the best for them, especially when their relationship hit a few bumps.

This is definitely one of my favorite romantic suspense series, it always leaves me wanting more - and I look forward to the next book, as I try and figure out exactly where everything will end up.

Fighting the Fall (Fighting #4) by J.B. Salsbury - @JBSalsbury

This series is one of those for me that I can’t wait for the next book out, can’t wait to devour the story, and then can’t wait until the next story is out so I can get more of the stories of all these awesome characters.  It’s a vicious cycle – that I can’t help, but totally love.

I was waiting for Eve’s story so bad.  We’ve had bits of her from being Raven’s best friend – and now we finally get the whole story, and truly get to see her.  I wasn’t sure how I was going to totally feel about her, but I fell in love with her strength, her honesty, her ability to still put herself out there and take a chance, and especially her ability to keep going on, even if it felt like she never got a break.

Cam – I don’t even know where to begin with him.  I guess my best word to describe him is tortured.  He broke my heart, made me proud, made me fall in love with him and he even pissed me off a few times.  But, I have to say that with him, I got it.  I understood why he acted certain ways and did the things he did.

Both Eve and Cam have such damaged pasts, heavy baggage, that they both carry.  Their pain is a constant in their lives – but they both handle it and carry it differently, but you can totally see how it has defined who they are right now.  They just need to get on the same page, and let them help each other heal and move forward.

I really could not put this book down.  There was a little angst, as things were not easy between Cam and Eve, but I still adored both of them.  This book also gives us a lot of great secondary characters.  Of course we get to see Jonah and Raven – a little Blake and Layla – but my favorites were definitely Ryder – Cam’s son, and even Cam’s ex-wife will surprise how you feel about her in the end.  You’ll even fall in love with another special girl in Cam’s life.  Loved this story and how it all came together in the end!

Now, onto waiting for the next book….

Charleston Past Midnight by Christine Edwards - @ceerotica

I'm not a typical "paranormal - vampire" reading type of girl - but after reading this book, I may be changing my reading selections!  From the moment this book started, it totally grabbed my attention and had me wrapped up in it.

I adored Calla - she had an inner strength to face whatever was thrown at her, and best yet, lots of spunk.  She knew exactly when to give in and let Severin, take control - because she would definitely be benefitting from his control, and she knew from the beginning he would always keep her safe.

Severin was exactly what I pictured a vampire to be.  I was glad we got his back story and how he became a vampire, along with the relationship that came about with Calla.  All I kept thinking is that he can "glamour" me any time!

This was a great fast paced read full of action, vampire lore and lots of hot steamy moments for sure.  Christine Edwards absolutely knows how to write the perfect dominant man.  If you haven't had a chance to read her other books, you are missing out, and you need to immediately go and give one a try - you will not be disappointed!
