Charleston Past Midnight by Christine Edwards - @ceerotica

I'm not a typical "paranormal - vampire" reading type of girl - but after reading this book, I may be changing my reading selections!  From the moment this book started, it totally grabbed my attention and had me wrapped up in it.

I adored Calla - she had an inner strength to face whatever was thrown at her, and best yet, lots of spunk.  She knew exactly when to give in and let Severin, take control - because she would definitely be benefitting from his control, and she knew from the beginning he would always keep her safe.

Severin was exactly what I pictured a vampire to be.  I was glad we got his back story and how he became a vampire, along with the relationship that came about with Calla.  All I kept thinking is that he can "glamour" me any time!

This was a great fast paced read full of action, vampire lore and lots of hot steamy moments for sure.  Christine Edwards absolutely knows how to write the perfect dominant man.  If you haven't had a chance to read her other books, you are missing out, and you need to immediately go and give one a try - you will not be disappointed!

Nordic Lessons (Nordic Lights #2) by Christine Edwards - @ceerotica

First, I'd like to thank Christine Edwards again for giving us an Advanced Reader's Copy of her book.  I've come to really look forward to the dominant men she creates in her stories, and the beautiful countries that she takes us to.

Elora is lucky enough to have her car break down along the side of the road, and have even better luck to have Mikkel drive by and decide that he needs to help her out.  His presence is intimidating, and scares her at first, but he tries to assure her, in his "direct" way, that he's safe with her, and he's going to help her whether she likes it or not.  Their relationship starts there - and as they begin to find out more about each other, and what each other likes - sparks freaking fly!

Mikkel is the perfect dominant man.  He's strict, tells how he wants it, how it's gonna be, and with his words and actions - you can't help but want to please him.  You would try your hardest to be a "good girl" knowing that the "rewards" were going to be incredible - and even the punishments weren't that bad either!

Oh man, I loved how Mikkel was with Elora, and how she let him take charge when it came to sex.  The sex between them was so hot, and it wasn't all about him being this incredible Alpha Dom, it was the sweetness of how he took care of her in so many other ways - whether it was buying something for her, or taking her someplace that he knew she would enjoy.  You knew deep down how important Elora was to him, there was never a doubt to how fast he fell for her.

I would just melt right on the spot! 

This isn't a gritty MC biker story - the story is lighter, with only some drama, the main focus being on Mikkel and Elora's relationship - which I absolutely loved.  I really enjoyed this story, and only wish at the end it would have been a little longer, drawing the story out just a bit, with the focus being more on Elora and Mikkel.  As always, I look forward to see where Christine Edwards will take us next!

Captured in Croatia by Christine Edwards

 

It just keeps getting better and better with Christine Edward's books.  This book had me hooked from the beginning - especially once Zoran, in his incredibly sexy Croatian accent,  uttered the words...

"You're mine now, princeza."

 

After Zoran frees her out of her crashed car that she's trapped in, Carew can't decide if he is her captor or rescuer.  No way is Zoran returning her to his boss - he knows what Juric will do to her and Zoran has no intention of any more harm coming to her.  At the bar he was immediately attracted to her, she's exactly what he's been waiting for.  So he takes her back to his home - where no woman has been invited before.

 

Zoran doesn't mess around either - he's all sexy Dom and he's straight with Carew right from the beginning.  If she doesn't do what he asks.....well, there are consequences.  Consequences that bring both pain and pleasure.  Carew doesn't want to give in, she's stubborn as hell - and she'll gladly pay the consequences for her defiance, and along the way she starts to fall for Zoran and all that he can give her.  But the future is unclear, as to whether he'll let her go home or he'll keep her for himself - or will either be an option.

 

I totally fell in love with Zoran.  Even with all his dominating ways - he continually showed how much he truly cared for Carew.  The best part is always when a kick-ass, strong-willed heroine like Carew, finally submits to a Dom like Zoran, who will treasure what she is giving to them by submitting.  I absolutely loved the romantic suspense storyline of this book - and as always I'll be anticipating the next book from Christine Edwards!

 

 

Nabbed in New Zealand by Christine Edwards

Valla saved her money and took the vacation of a lifetime to New Zealand.  She's taking a week long camping trip with five other strangers, and two guides.  She hoped to be exploring and enjoying the beauty of New Zealand - she ended up with a whole lot more adventure than she ever could have imagined.

The camping trip takes them into remote sections of New Zealand, visiting establishments that are frequented by locals.  During lunch one day - Valla's breath is taken away by the sexy man she sees getting lunch.  That same night she runs into him again at a bar where the group goes - a little alcohol, and some encouragement, and Valla is serenading him with "Criminal" by Fiona Apple.

This night changes her whole trip - alone by the campfire, she is grabbed from behind and when she wakes up she doesn't know where she is.  The only thing she does recognize is the man who is at the house she is at - the guy from the bar.....Brocan Judge.  Judge wants her - he's a Dom with a capital "D" - and he's not going to let her get away.  He makes her an enticing offer that she just can't say no to. 

I could feel for Valla as she struggled at times with her decision to stay with Judge for the week, and get to experience being his sub. She accepted his terms - because she truly felt the attraction between them, and wanted to see if a relationship could start. The problem was her head would get in the way - and she worried whether he would take her back to town in a week like he promised.  When Valla challenges Judge, being the Dom that he is - she faces the consequences.

This was another great hot read from Christine Edwards, with a Dom that will have you dropping to your knees in submission.  I look forward to the next country and Dom that Ms. Edwards decides to write about!

I wasn't sure what to expect with this book - it's by a newer author, and I wasn't loving the title - but I thought I'd give it a shot.  The book was done totally in Vail's POV - which helped with keeping you intrigued and curious about Alreck.  The image in your mind alone of Alreck had me all hot and bothered, but how he handled Vail was what clinched his status to another perfect book boyfriend.  Vail didn't make it easy for him, even if she was secretly lusting after him.  She gave him a run for his money as she kept trying to find a way home. 

I loved the quick pace of the book and how the story flowed, keeping me interested the whole way through.  If you love sexy Alpha males who are bad boys and belong to an MC then I think that you'll enjoy this book.  It may have you booking a trip to Norway in the near future!
