Finder Fees (TroubleMaker #4) by Kelly Gendron - @KelGendron

Finder Fees (TroubleMaker, #4)
I really enjoy this series so much - especially because each book is so different from the previous ones.  This book started off so great and stayed that way through the entire book.  I think my favorite part, that I knew I was gonna love this book was the elevator "scene" and what came out of Sloan's sassy mouth and her comment to J.T. - and his come-back was even better - I nearly spit out my drink!

J.T. and Sloan together - oh man, the sexual tension was scorching.  He was an "alpha-male" in the true sense - and he let her know exactly what that was.  I was "fanning" myself with his explanation.

The sexual energy was scorching between these two - especially before they gave in to inevitable.  The story had some twists and turns that I didn't even see coming and ended going in a different direction than what I expected it to be - which was a very pleasant surprise.  I love when storylines don't quite turn out how I expect them to from the synopsis.

This book had a lot of sexual tension in the beginning - and some extremely funny moments between J.T. and Sloan.  So, if you're looking for a lighter read - with a little suspense and some sizzling, sexy encounters with a great hea - than you'll really enjoy this book for sure!

Lucky Numbers (TroubleMaker #3) by Kelly Gendron

Lucky Numbers (TroubleMaker, #3)
Let me start by saying that Lucky can tattoo anything he wants on me - and actually he can do anything he wants to and with me any time!!  Yes, another hottie to add to your lists of "best boyfriends ever"!

Kaley decides she needs to change her "good girl" image and goes in to get a tattoo - meeting Lucky, the ultimate "bad boy" tattoo artist.  She not only gets the tattoo she wanted, Lucky adds a little something extra that she doesn't know about.  Luckily for both of them - that tattoo will be what brings Lucky back into Kaley's life again.

Kaley is shocked to see Lucky again - and realizes he may be just what she needs to finally destroy the perfect image the public seems to have of her.  Luckys is all for helping her out - acting the "bad boy" - he goes above and beyond the call of duty.  Of course, being around each other, these two can't deny the sparks that are flying around between these too - and when they get together - it is HOT!!

This was a great "never judge a book by it's cover" story. There was so much more to Kaley and Lucky's personality and life than what everyone might have seen from the outside.  I loved watching them get to know each other - and enjoyed having some of the characters from the prior books show up for a bit in this story.  In the end - these two ended up helping each other out in unexpected ways - and having more than they ever could have imagined.

I'm really enjoying this series - and I love how with each book the stories are getting better and better.

Captured Heart by Savanna Grey

Captured Heart (A Garrett's Point Novel #1)

If you're in the need for a low angst type book, with a little heartbreak, but definite happy ending, then this book will definitely be the book for you.

Emma is a kindergarten teacher, living in her hometown, enjoying the quiet life that she's made for herself over the years with a lot of good friends.  Suddenly, through tragic events, her life is turned upside down when she is thrown into position of taking care of her god-daughter, Olivia.

Caring for Olivia is never the issue or the problem - the problem is Jack, her uncle, who is also sharing joint custody.  The uncle that Emma has secretly had a crush on for the past 8 years.  The Uncle that, even though she only sees on occasion at holidays - she can't stop lusting after.

Jack is your typical career-oriented, lawyer and ladies man.  No long term relationships, only a good time - and work is the most important thing.  The problems with this start when Jack starts spending time with Olivia and Emma after he becomes Olivia's joint guardian.  He's always found Emma attractive, but knew she was off limits because she was not a "one night stand" type of girl.  But, being in the same house together - dealing with their grief, learning how to care for Olivia - is pulling them towards each other.  They find it impossible to deny their attraction - but Jack still is not sure he wants to change his ways altogether.

It was beautiful to see how Emma handled Olivia and her grief - always putting her and her feelings first, and taking great care for her.  Jack also did his share of trying to heal Olivia, even if his experience with children was limited.  Putting aside their troubles with each other together their main goal was to give Olivia the best life she deserved, regardless of the tragedy she experienced.

Even though the story mainly revolved around Emma, Jack and Olivia, there were quite a few other characters and townspeople that were quite charming and memorable, especially Emma's three friends.  I look forward to reading about them in the future and discovering more about their lives.  After reading Captured Heart you'll really feel like you want to visit Garrett's Point and maybe stay awhile.

Picture Perfect (Limelight #2) by Elisabeth Grace

Picture Perfect (Limelight, #2)
After their first brief, scorching meeting in a bar - both are shocked, to say the least to find out that Skye has been hired to be Landon's personal assistant.  Skye doesn't want to do anything to ruin her new job and possibly damage her father's name as he runs for Senate.  She's also trying to prove she's independent and doesn't need her parents money to get by.  Landon is worried about crossing the line as her boss, and as the owner of the Public Relations firm, he has a reputation to uphold - but he can't get the way she felt against him when they kissed at the bar out of his mind.

Wow!  There is definitely a ton of chemistry between Landon and Skye - and the sexual tension as they try not to cross the line between boss and employee becomes a serious challenge that is impossible to overcome.  Taking a business trip together puts them in more situations together and things definitely heat up between the two of them.
This is definitely a lighter read, with some seriously hot scenes (Landon has figured out the very best way to drink Champagne for sure!) - with a few twists and turns along the way - as they get to know each other, while hiding the fact from everyone that they are together - not to mention other outside forces that seem to make their relationship difficult to work out.  I'm really enjoying reading this series - and definitely look forward to the next book with Katie - because she is going to be something else!

Unbearable Guilt (Breathe Again #2) by Emma Grayson

Unbearable Guilt (Breathe Again, #2)

  Kane Archer

"Kane was a badass name, the name of a hero in an action movie, the name a woman would call out in pure ecstasy over and over again.  Kane was a man's name and he was definitely that:  a man - all man."

Lean, Broad Shoulders,

Tall, Muscles,

Confident.

Take No-Shit kind of man.

The type you didn't question.

The type you didn't want to cross, make angry or disobey.

The kind who would tell you where to go and how to get there.

Do I have your attention now??? Because Kane certainly had my attention through this whole book.  He was definitely a tortured soul - blaming himself for the death of his fiancee Aimee.  He's intent on finding the man who killed her, and keeping himself mentally and emotionally away from any woman he brings to his bed.

Whitney has been serving him coffee for months.  She's attracted to him, but knows he's a loner, keeping to himself.  She's heard all the rumors around town about how he's the reason Aimee is dead - but she knows there's more to the story.

Kane can't deny the attraction to Whitney - it's different from one of his one night stands.  He's tries to keep her at a distance, but the attraction is too much for both of them.  But the guilt Kane feels, is to unbearable for him to handle, and more than once - he walks away.

Whitney knows in her heart he's struggling, but she's also dealing with her own family troubles, not to mention the rejection that she is feeling from Kane.  I don't know how she faced him at times, after he left her hanging and some cruel words he threw at her to keep her away.  I cringed at the confusion that she must have had at what to feel for him.

Through more twists of fate - they both find that their past lives and troubles are more intertwined then they could have ever imagined.  It's unsure whether they will be able to get past all the guilt and find forgiveness for themselves and each other.

I absolutely loved this book - even when Kane needed a good kick in the ass sometimes.  How can you not love a man like him - someone who so desperately needs some love and is as hot as hell!?  And Whitney, she was no pushover, she was raised to be tough - but she was also really patient and understanding, and knew a good man when she saw him.  I couldn't put this book down, and hated for it to end - looking forward to Kessel's story next!

Rumor Has It (Limelight #1) by Elisabeth Grace

Rumor Has It (Limelight, #1)

Oh man, I felt so bad for Ellie - seriously, it seems as if "embarrassment" is her middle name lately.  Besides the video that goes viral with her in it, the way she meets Mason for the first time would not be the way most of us want to meet a hot guy!

Mason is awesome – he is loving the first time he sees Ellie, although he’s sure it’s just another fan trying to get to him.  He soon realizes Ellie is as she says – and really has no clue that he’s a famous hip-hop artist.  Mason, being the smooth talker he is – convinces her to go on a date, and with his built body and sexy tattoos, there is no way Ellie is turning him down.

Ellie just has to stick to her “ten date” rule and keep in mind that Mason is only in town for a few weeks – as long as she has her “PP’s” on – things should be fine.  For the first date, they are fine, she’s even heeding her rules – but then going out again – she unexpectedly finds out who Mason really is and now she’s not sure about seeing him again – or following any rules.

Mason wants to give things a try – he trusts Ellie, which for him trust is a major issue – there are not many people he can trust because of his fame.  For Ellie, she’s used to men not staying in her life – and with Mason only in town for a while, she knows she’s asking for trouble.  Even though Mason is so attentive and caring about her feelings, she feels unworthy of it and questions why he would even be interested in her.

There’s so many issues they have to deal with to make their relationship work – and when Mason catches her in a situation – trust is quickly gone…. But, sometimes you can’t believe all the rumors, or even exactly what you see.  I really enjoyed this story and you will definitely root for Ellie and Mason to work things out – and get through all the rumors to the truth.  Looking forward to the next book for sure!
